A customer from Rhode Island contacted us about his Greek Revival home. The existing roll -formed aluminum gutters were failing, and he wanted to improve both the functionality and the aesthetics, starting with the front facade.
The challenge was that we needed a way to connect the existing gutter on the left side addition to the new downspout on the main house, in order not to have two downspouts right next to each other. We needed a “Y” fitting that doesn't exist in 3” diameter aluminum. We solved the problem by creating a 3D model of the fitting, and printing it on our large format printer. It fit perfectly, and the customer was thrilled.
